About us
Stichting Steun Emma Kinderziekenhuis supports the hospital to help seriously ill children get the most out of their lives. We are committed to innovative research and we contribute to facilities for children and parents. We also support initiatives that improve the well-being of sick children, now and in the future. In this way, despite their illness, children can continue to develop and learn to deal with their illness. The hospital and the government do not have sufficient resources to make this possible. Together we give for a child’s life, together we make the care for seriously ill children better.

About Emma's Children Hospital
Emma Children’s Hospital has been providing the very best care for seriously ill children, often with complex or even life-threatening conditions, for more than 150 years. What started in 1865 with six wooden cribs in a former English Orphanage in the center of Amsterdam, has now grown into one of the leading children’s hospitals in the world.
Every year, about 9,000 children are admitted and 35,000 children visit the outpatient clinic. The Emma Children’s Hospital enables every child to get most out of life. They get help to participate as normally as possible with healthy peers. Children and their parents, brothers and sisters are all guided how they can deal with their illness.
